Studying Water Quality by Sampling Benthic Macroinvertebrates
Students sample Benthic Macroinvertebrates (bugs that live in the mud!) at Hillman Marsh Conservation Area (Leamington) and in Algonquin Park. By identifying the bugs in their sample, Eremos Project students determine if the water quality is impaired.
Students are fully outfitted in chest waders and d-frame benthic nets for this experience!
